Platter of Turnips

Making something special out of something ordinary – that’s what I like most on food preparation. And I get amazed of those people who know well how to impress their guests.

Who would think that these are turnips at first glance?

Served as finger food during our Annual Retreat at Benedictine Sisters Retreat House 2 months ago, this platter of turnips garnished with thin carrot slices really catches everyone’s attention. Plus it turned out really good with rice vinegar and salt. Amazing taste!
