Hash Browns Making, My First Attempt

How I whine a lot whenever my Internet connection if not our power supply gets interrupted before. Now, I got no more reason to. I got bunch of new books to read... thanks to the adverts and recently I am into making a mini kitchen out of my mini place. :D

I first came across hash browns from one of the local fast food chains in the country. That was years ago.  Then I found some being sold at grocery stores. I tried them but they're kind of pricey so I told myself why not look for recipes online and do it at my own kitchen instead of buying frozen packs. :D
So here's how it turned out the first time.

For the INGREDIENTS I used:

6 Medium potatoes (peeled and shredded)
1 Egg (whisk in a separate bowl)
2 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 tsp white ground pepper
Enough salt to season well

Shred and dry potatoes thoroughly by squeezing in a kitchen towel. In a mixing bowl, add all ingredients and mix well. Take some of the hash brown mixture and shape into a round, oblong or maybe square thin patty and deep fry. They will usually take 10-15 minutes to cook.

Best served and eaten with mixed veggies on butter and scrambled egg.

For people on diet, Hash Browns are also best alternative for rice. ;)

P.S.   Thanks to my new set of followers from the last week's WBFC! :)
